The Introduction course to MakeCode Arcade with MakeCode introduces the fun of programming to students using games. Throughout the course, student can learn the concept of programming and train their program-solving and logic thinking skills.

Learning Objectives:

  • Manage projects and create 2D game based on block-coding
  • Write scripts to program behaviors and interaction within MakeCode Arcade
  • Understand and use key computational thinking concepts like variables, loops, and conditions, and apply on design

  • What is a game? | module-name
  • Make your first game! | Learn how to edit and design your own scene and sprite
  • Beginner Skill Camp | Understand how different objects in MakeCode Arcade interacts
  • How to make a game? | Observe one of the created games and try to understand the components of a game
  • Design your game! | Learn to create sprite and integrate different skills
  • Make your own game | Make the game based on the previously designed draft
