In this hands-on robotics course, students will explore the fundamentals of robotics, programming, and teamwork by building and programming a soccer-playing robot car using Maqueen and micro:bit. Each group will assemble a robot car equipped with a dozer blade designed to push a ball into a goal.
Learning Objectives:
- Equip students with the ability to assemble and program the Maqueen
- Encourage students to apply problem-solving strategies and critical thinking
- Develop students' teamwork and communication skills through collaborative activities and challenges
Course Outline:
- Introduction To Maqueen | Introduction on how to assemble and use Maqueen
- Skills design and programming | Understand the program behind football bot
- Calibration and Competition | Play in Football competition to test out the programmed robot and calibrate the robot through Trial and Error
Software Requirements:
- micro:bit app (iPad)
- updated browser (Notebook/Desktop)
