Using UnaGPT as Teachers – Distribute Exercises

This guide helps teachers effectively use UnaGPT to create UnaGPT-powered activities. It covers activity creation, task configuration, virtual classroom setup, student monitoring, and reviewing AI-generated feedback.

Login with a teacher account

Please refer to the guide titled User Login and Change Display Language.

Create a virtual classroom (Session)

  1. Click “Teaching Session” from the left menu, then click “Create Session.”
  1. Select an activity.
  1. Fill in the title
  1. Choose or add a new grouping template.
  1. Share access rights with other teachers if needed. The created session can only be viewed by the creator by default. You can search for the teacher’s Username or Email, then click “Add”.
  1. Click “Create.” Choose “Yes” to enter the session or “No” to return to the homepage.

Start a lesson!

In the virtual classroom UI:

  • Green Area: Navigate pages and manage session admissions and status.
  • Red Area: Control visibility of sections for students.
  • Blue Area: Control session flow.

Start a virtual classroom

  1. Click “Assemble” to invite students.
  1. Click “Start” to begin the lesson, allowing students to answer questions.

Monitor Student Submissions

Click the “Submissions” tab.

Check each student’s marking status:

  • Blank: No attempt yet.
  • Light Blue (Autograded): AI feedback released; teachers can revise its content.
  • Yellow (Pending/Appealing): Teacher review required.
  • Green (Completed): Teacher reviewed or handled appeals.

Review AI-Generated Grades and Feedback

Click on “Autograded,” “Pending,” or “Appealing” statuses to review or alter AI grading and feedback.

You may update the feedback and submit changes. Note that students cannot resubmit after teacher review. 

When managing an appeal, you have the option to enter a reason for your decision and choose to dismiss or approve the appeal. Additionally, you have the ability to override the AI-score calculation if necessary.
