From October to November 2023, we were honored to collaborate with the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) and Microsoft to hold three teacher workshops themed "GPT-4 Teaching Effectiveness Seminar x UnaGPT AI Automatic Grading System." This series of workshops attracted nearly a hundred enthusiastic educators from various subject backgrounds, who explored how GPT technology can bring innovative changes to the education sector. Participants experienced the immense potential of using GPT technology for automatic grading and providing feedback to students by personally using the UnaGPT system.
Highlights of the workshops included:
1. The three workshops attracted about 100 education professionals, showcasing the enthusiastic participation of the academic community.
2. Fred Sheu, Regional Technology Officer at Microsoft Hong Kong, and Skills Lead Frank Ng provided in-depth analysis of GPT-4 technology and its profound implications for the education field.
3. Participants personally tried out the UnaGPT AI automatic grading system, evaluating the effectiveness and accuracy of GPT-4 in grading assignments from a student’s perspective.
4. Results from 73 respondents showed that GPT-4 and UnaGPT received high scores of 3.7/5 and 3.42/5, respectively, indicating the practical benefits of GPT technology in teaching.
5. Through interactive discussions, teachers explored various feasible applications of AI technology in education.
6. After the workshops, about 40% of participants chose to apply for the UnaGPT free trial program, demonstrating a strong interest in the application of GPT technology in academia.
We firmly believe that each workshop serves not only as a platform for knowledge sharing but also as a starting point for inspiring innovative thinking. We sincerely thank all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and contributions!
