  • Content:In this episode, we discussed the technology of Text-to-Speech (TTS) and carried out practical tests and applications. We pointed out the ways to identify the flaws in AI-generated images, and explored how to use TTS technology in combination with real human images and AI-generated speakers.
    Additionally, we introduced the technology of custom neural voices. We shared the process of collecting voice data, organizing and training models, and deploying and testing models. We compared human-made audio and AI-generated audio, challenging everyone to accurately identify which one is AI-generated.

They introduced us to the application of AI in missing person cases and the different search and rescue methods, including search dogs, phone location, thermal detectors, and drone imaging with AI. The guests explained the purpose and technical difficulty of their AI technology, as well as the conditions required and the way of data collection for using this technology. They also shared their experience of cooperating with the Fire Services Department. In addition, the guests told the story of the development from concept to product, and the future development direction and potential uses of this AI technology. The four students, IP Shing Hei Nathan, CHU Siu Tsan, CHAN Tsun Yin, LIANG Hin Yan, and their teacher, Mr. Rock Lee, who is also the Head of Computer Science and STEM Education Coordinator, shared their competition experience and the process of creating their project. They mentioned why they chose to participate in the HKICT Student Innovation Award, the preparations for the competition, and the special features of their project.   • Content:We are honored to have invited Mr. Cyron Chan, the Executive Director of MakerBay Foundation, to conduct a design thinking training session for us. The programme centred on using an empathic approach to design and working towards creating a sophisticated society that encourages the coexistence of AI and people. We employed engaging activities to generate imagination about the requirements of visually impaired people, using the example of visually impaired people shopping in a mall. Our intention was to encourage everyone to apply design thinking to the creation of preliminary prototypes.

Denise introduced the NGO Cocoon, discussing its origins and mission, as well as conducting a demo lesson that fostered an entrepreneurial spirit. Mr Ip unveiled a prevalent 'bait and switch' cyber fraud case, warning against fraudulent apps which are actually trojan spyware designed to hijack personal information from victims' phones.

  • Content:In the program on December 6th, we were fortunate to have invited Professor Wong Kam-Fai, a member of the Legislative Council, as a guest. Professor Wong talked about the AI latest trends in Hong Kong and analyzed the various causes of "AI Hallucination" He explained the importance of enriching AI databases and enhancing guidelines to reduce the probability of errors. Additionally, he encouraged the government to promote the application of new technologies, provide corresponding training for citizens to adapt to new occupations, strengthen the focus on AI security, and emphasize the importance of safeguarding data and privacy.
    In the final class on December 13th, the host of Crazy Show tested Leo and Ivy on some outdated technological products, discussing different technologies from different eras. This helped us understand that past "innovative" inventions are constantly being replaced with the progress of time. Therefore, we should closely follow social trends, continue learning, and embrace new technologies.
