1. Training Camp and Competition 2023 concluded successfully!

Tech for Future Training Camp and Competition 2023 has successfully concluded. We would like to thank all the teams for their participation and support. During the competition, students presented their works and creative ideas in an engaging way. Many students also demonstrated their own prototypes with great enthusiasm. We hope that they will strive towards greater achievements with the innovative spirit, and encourage them to join Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior 2024.
 
In this year’s competition, there were 52 secondary school teams and 15 primary school teams. After selecting the winning teams, the judges selected 14 secondary school teams and 2 primary school teams as the merit teams. Winning teams received prizes sponsored by Microsoft Education, Xenus Technology Limited, and Aerosim (HK) Ltd. respectively, and all winning teams and merit teams received certificates jointly issued by Microsoft Education and Una.

2. Highlights of the Third Innovation Training Camp

he last Una Tech For Future 2023 training camp concluded successfully on May 27th. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the schools, teachers, students and industry guests for their support for making this event possible.
 
On the final day of the training camp, in addition to the professional Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior innovative technology training, we also invited many guests from the innovative technology industry to share ideas and how AI technology is extensively used in various fields.
Alex Leung (CEO & Co-founder) from TURNED-E! Education Limited explained to the students the importance of empathy in creating innovative ideas, and combined his personal entrepreneurial experience to share presentation skills for original ideas, guiding them in how to present their ideas to the judges.
 
Shane Ng (Chief Architect) from KBQuest introduced the latest OpenAI GPT technology to the students and how it is applied in actual business, including complaint handling and human resource management. These examples greatly benefited the students in creating the concept of their work.
 
We sincerely thank the HKTA The Yuen Yuen Institute No. 1 Secondary School for providing the space needed to ensure the success of the training camp.The pupils benefited greatly from the three training camp sessions. Students who took part in the competition had the chance to advance their understanding of artificial intelligence applications after the training camp and earn the Microsoft AI-900 certificate, preparing them for their future professional development.
 
Let us look forward to the student’s unlimited creativity and talent in the competition, use AI technology to create work that contribute to society!

3. Highlights of the Second Innovation Training Camp

On May 20, the second session of the Una Tech For Future 2023 Innovation Training Camp was successfully concluded at Fanling Kau Yan College. We would like to express our gratitude to the school for providing us with the venue support that enabled this event to run smoothly.
 
During the training camp, not only did we held the Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior innovative technology training, we also invited professional guest speaker Mr. Mattis Tsang (Managing Director, Aerosim(HK)Ltd) to share his insights on “Aviation Training and Technology”. He shared many innovative concepts and future directions of development in the aviation technology industry, which was very inspiring to our students 
 
We also had the pleasure of inviting Ms. Fammy Wong, (Vice-principal, Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School), whose team was one of the Top Ten teams in the world for the 2023 International Competition —Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior. She shared her team’s ideas and their impressive results. The students who participated in the training camp were also very enthusiastic and curious, actively engaging in asking questions.
 
We are looking forward to the last session of the training camp in this coming Saturday, where we will have more industry guests sharing their experiences to provide students with a deeper understanding of future technology development trends and applications. We invite everyone to stay tuned and join us in exploring the future world of technology!

4. Highlights of the First Innovation Training Camp

Una Tech For Future 2023’s first innovation training camp concluded successfully on May 6 at the HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School, with the participation and support of many teachers, students and industry guests. We would like to express our sincere gratitude here!
 
At the beginning of the event, Una Platform ‘s founder, Dr. Leo Yeung, announced in his welcome speech that this year’s training camp and competition had a total of 66 teams, coming from 45 primary and secondary schools, including 315 teachers and students. In addition to the Una x Microsoft Education Certificate, this year’s competition also included the gold, silver and bronze awards. Each student in the champion team will receive a Microsoft Surface tablet worth $4388 as a prize!
 
During the morning session of the training camp, we invited the following professional guests to share their insights on the development prospects of the innovation and technology industry, as well as the application of AI technology in various fields, showcasing the infinite possibilities of AI application to the students.

In the afternoon session, the students went through the Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior Innovation Training, and experienced the application and operation principles of AI technology through the Una online learning platform. With the help of that, the students began to develop their competition entry concepts. They showed great enthusiasm and commitment throughout the discussion of their creative concepts with their mentors.
 
We would like to give a special thanks to HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School for providing us with the venue, enabling the event to run smoothly. The upcoming two training camps will be equally exciting, with more guests from the innovation and technology industry to share their insights. Stay tuned!

5. "Tech For Future" Innovation Training Camp and Competition 2023

From May to July 2023, with the assistance of the Hong Kong Computer Education Association and the Hong Kong Federation of Chinese Secondary Schools and the support of various organizations, Una will hold the “Technology for Future – Tech For Future” innovation training camp and competition 2023, continuing to Contribute to the training of innovation and technology talents in Hong Kong. This event is also a warm-up match for the “Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior”. All primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong can participate as teams. Participating teams must attend the training camp on one of the Saturdays in May. After the training camp, all students will receive Microsoft AI-900 certificate exam vouchers and a 1-month free subscription to the Una self-study intensive course, and can complete AI- 900 exam. Primary schools and secondary schools will compete separately. The competition dates will be July 13 and July 14 respectively. Participating teams must attend the competition on the corresponding dates, and the award ceremony will be held on the same day.

 

Since 2021, Una has joined hands with leading technology and academic institutions to hold the “Technology for Future – Tech For Future” innovation training camp and competition. It is hoped that through sharing, training and competitions, students can experience the fun of scientific research and increase their Awareness of innovation and technology. Just as “ChatGPT” and other generative artificial intelligence tools will become popular all over the world at the end of 2022, we look forward to more teams participating and more different types of works this year.
